Taking The Day Off
We’re heading to Edwardsville today, taking my mom and step-dad out to dinner for her birthday. We plan to hit the Borders bookstore and the pet store and maybe a few other places while we’re at it. I’d love to check out some antique shops, but their energy seldom holds out that long. I’m still coughing and hacking too, and my energy level is not so great either. The old folks in the nursing home were hit even harder, our Alzheimer unit sounds still sounds pretty rough and it’s all I can do to keep them awake long enough for an activity!
I went back to the doctor yesterday and they took my blood pressure…I couldn’t believe it! 97 over 85! No wonder I’m seeing sparkles every time I stand up! Last year my blood pressure averaged 150 over 99, or higher. This pill I take every morning really does the trick. Best of all, it’s cheap, only about ten bucks a month!
I’ve been having some kind of weird allergic reaction the last couple of days, I have hives all over my arms and neck, and they itch like mad. No telling what they’re from. I have LOTS of contact and food allergies, shrimp, iodine, turpentine, certain perfumes and a specific type of painkiller. And the older I get the longer the list becomes…
I should probably get one of those medical id bracelets, at least for the drug allergies…
