Roseville Wreck, Part 4
So, I’m back. After the paint dried, I gave the vase another light sanding. It’s not a bad idea after sanding, to wipe the piece down with a non-fuzzy rag dampened with paint thinner. That will get rid of any excess dust and further smooth the surface.
I’m pleased with the color and the texture so I will set the piece aside and let it dry thoroughly before I do any more painting. My next step will be to mix up an olive green to shade in over the mustard color, but that’s for another day. It’s best to keep the coats light and very dry in between. Otherwise they will look like plastic and may even peel. Peeling is bad, very, very bad.
