Mad Doll Doctor

Well, it appears I will be staying on at the nursing home. The gal I was filling in for has decided to take another, less strenuous job and everyone at the nursing home seems agreeable to having me as activity director permanently. I was both worried and pleased when I heard; worried because it’s so hard to get everything done…I will probably have to cut back on how many doll repairs I take and possibly do less blogging as well…but I guess it will all work out.

The job doesn’t pay all that great or provide health insurance or other benefits, but I love both the residents and staff and I get to see my husband throughout the day. I also don’t have to buy another car and add another insurance to our already stretched budgets, so it all balances out. It’s also a satisfying job…I feel good about the things I’m doing, and that means a lot!
