I’m going to have to bite the bullet soon and buy a car. We have two cars we’re paying on for the kids, plus our van, which is paid for, but then you have insurance…I get a little queasy thinking about more insurance and another monthly payment. It hasn’t been a problem since I’ve been working at my husband’s nursing home and riding in with him, but I need to find a job once I’m finished there and I’m unlikely to find one within walking distance of my home. Actually, I’ll be lucky to find something in our town at all! There isn’t much going on here for creative types. Actually, there isn’t much here period, unless you’re a trucker, nurse or a CNA.

I’d ideally like to find something easy on gas and insurance, nothing sporty, no rear spoilers, sun windows or red exterior…something my kids would be horrified to drive. Wish I could afford a hybrid…
