Mad Doll Doctor

Well the old girl has recuperated and is ready to be strung. You may have noticed that when she was originally strung she had long wires attached to the crown of her head, running down through her body and through her legs…well, I’m going to restring her a bit differently, my reasons are; the wire can chip the edges of the bisque head and if the wire gets manipulated enough, i.e. lots of turning and posing of the head, they can break and the head goes plopping off the doll to shatter on the floor. Ask me how I know this. Go ahead, ask me.

Since I won’t be using the big long wires to restring, I’ll use them to grab the elastic stringing. I’m a big fan of recycling and rigging up new tools, so don’t be surprised if you see me doing something strange with an object you’ve come to know in a completely different capacity. I will need a plug to go inside the head…(see pictures) I just happen to have a whole drawer of them. Doesn’t everyone?Now she is ready to restring.
