We’re going to Hermann Missouri this weekend for the Wurstfest and I’m hoping it will be the best Wurstfest ever! For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Wurstfest, it’s all about the wurst, or sausage. Hermann, which is an old German town, sponsors the event every year. Droves of eager wurst makers come to town to complete against other wurst makers and to allow the public to sample and buy their goods. I usually try to buy enough sausage to last all year, and every year we eat it all up in about three months. They also have authentic German bands, dancing, Weiner dog races and winery tours. The area also has quite a few antique shops. If the weather is nice, it should be a lot of fun!
