Roseville Vase Wreck, part 1

As promised, here is the vase I purchased yesterday. If you look at one side, you’d think, wow, gorgeous vase! Only eighteen dollars?? That must be a mistake, it should be $180.! Or more!

However, if you turn it around…Arrrggggg! That must have hurt! Not only is the vase cracked, but parts of the outer pottery and glaze have come off and are lost! There are also numerous dings and abrasions…well, I wanted a challenge!

After a restless night spent thinking about how I would repair this poor vase, I got busy first thing this morning, pushing glue into the cracks. After a few hours, I mixed up a small amount of Apoxi sculpt–did I mention that I LOVE Apoxi Sculpt? Then I began building up the lost areas.

And now this important message; Do you have a laptop? Do you need one? If so, here you go…

Now I’m off to grab a bite to eat, be back in a jiffy to check on the vase!
