A Wasted Day?

Other than a trip to Walmart and Dollar General for cleaning supplies, I’ve spent most of the day hanging around the house. I’ve enjoyed it too. We even sat outside for a spell. The whole yard reeks of lilacs, we have several huge bushes and they’re so overpowering they nearly block the air from your […]

Small Comforts

Lately, with so much of our time being taken up with work and the crazy high price of gas, we’ve been trying to find more comfort at home…trying to carve out a little oasis of solace, if you will.
The moment I saw this Indoor or Outdoor Swing Chair it was love at first sight. Imagine […]

Roseville Wreck, Part 4

So, I’m back. After the paint dried, I gave the vase another light sanding. It’s not a bad idea after sanding, to wipe the piece down with a non-fuzzy rag dampened with paint thinner. That will get rid of any excess dust and further smooth the surface.

Great Sellers Disappearing

Has anyone else noticed how many great sellers are disappearing from Ebay?
In the past I have both bought and sold, but with the new changes I’m pretty sure my selling days are over and possibly my buying days as well. As of May, sellers will no longer be able to leave buyers, no matter how […]

Hermann, Wurstfest

Well, this may have been our worst Wurstfest ever! The food, music and wine, as always were great, but the weather was miserably cold and damp most of the weekend. We also tried a new restaurant, which was way too expensive and the food was disappointing.
Normally, we go to a place called the River’s […]

Back Home…Finally!

I haven’t been able to post for quite awhile. When we got back from Hermann late Sunday, we found a message on our answering machine telling us that a good friend had died. The following day we headed to Mt. Vernon to visit the family. It was gut-wrenching, our dear sweet friend was only 53 […]
